Terms & Conditions For Meeting Room Hire

Bookings are confirmed at the point when payment is made. We can provisionally reserve the room for you in advance, but a provisional booking is not a firm booking.

If you need to cancel your booking, you can do so up to 48 hours before the booking begins and get a full refund. Cancellations made up to 24 hours before a booking start time will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice cannot usually be refunded. We hire staff to host your meeting and we cannot cancel staffing arrangements with less than 48 hours notice.

The meeting room is on the first floor of an 18th century building. There is no lift (elevator) and there is no disabled access. If you or any of your party cannot climb two flights of shallow stairs, this room is not suitable for your meeting.

The maximum number of guests for the room is 10.

You may bring your own catering or have food delivered. There is a mini-fridge, kettle, spoons, cups and glasses in the room. Because we do not include catering in the price, there is no VAT on the booking fee for the room.

The room offers wipe-clean whiteboards and a 40 inch computer screen (wi-fi enabled).

The toilets are on the lower ground floor (three flights of stairs from the meeting room).

You can access the room 10 minutes before your start time to set up the room. If you think that your guests or colleagues are likely to arrive earlier than 10 minutes beforehand and will need to access the room to take calls or carry out other work tasks, please book the room for an earlier start time. People may arrive early due to travelling by train from outside London, but we do not have the lounge facilities or a waiting area to accommodate them. This is a well-priced meeting room option which does not offer hotel-type facilities.

The building is open from 9am. If you have booked a meeting for 9am, we will open at 8.50am so that you can set up the room.

If you overstay your finish time by more than 20 minutes, you will be invoiced for the extra time.

To access the building, just knock on the door using the heritage door knocker (there is no bell). Your host will show you upstairs to the meeting room and answer any questions you might have. Your host will be on hand throughout the day, ready to greet your guests as they arrive and to let you back into the building if you should go out for a break.

The building was formerly a large house. It looks like a house from the outside. Please share a photo of the building with your guests so that they have the confidence to knock on the door to gain entry.

Address is 22 John Street, Bloomsbury, London WC1N 2BY which is an extension of Doughty Street and is off Theobalds Road. For clarity, we are NOT in the better-known St John Street in Islington.

Nearest tube stations are Russell Square and Chancery Lane at 7 minutes walk away. Bus stops are for routes 38, 19, 55, 243, 17 and 46 and these are 3 minutes walk away. The stations Kings Cross, St Pancras and Farringdon are 15 minutes walk away.
