Funding pressures force national children’s charity to close
The children’s charity 4Children has gone into administration. The national charity providing support to children, young adults and their families collapsed as a result of funding pressures and the loss of key contracts. Many of 4Children’s activities, as well as over 750 employees, have been transferred to Action for Children but all of 4Children’s head office staff have been made redundant. The administrators say that around 1,000 of the 1,050 4Children employees are expected to be transferred to new employers.
