Innovia, a manufacturer of banknotes in the U.K., Australia and Mexico, has been acquired by the Canadian company CCL Industries. The £680m deal makes CCL a leader in the polymer banknote industry, an example of which can be seen in the UK where Innovia manufactures the new polymer £5 banknote for the Bank of England.
