The property developer U+I, a specialist in urban mixed-use regeneration, has been acquired by Land Securities Group for £190m.
Medichem Manufacturing has been acquired by Revolution Beauty Group for £23m. Medichem is a supplier of haircare and skincare products to the beauty market, with Revolution being its main client, providing it with more than 90% of its revenue in the calendar year to date.
Five more small UK energy companies have collapsed. Bluegreen Energy Services, Omni Energy, MA Energy, Zebra Power and Ampoweruk have all announced they are ceasing to trade. Under Ofgem’s safety net, customers’ energy supply will continue and funds that domestic customers have paid into their accounts will be protected. Domestic customers will also be protected by the energy price cap when being switched to a new supplier.
The private equity firm Sun European Partners has acquired the consumer-focused law firm Fletchers Solicitors. Established in 1987, Fletchers has offices in Manchester and Stockport.
Dialog Semiconductor has been acquired by Renesas Electronics. The £4bn deal gives Renesas a wide ranging portfolio of products across the electronics sector. Dialog is a provider of standard and custom integrated circuits that are used in the fast growing Internet of Things sector.
