Terms & Conditions

By purchasing an email list from Electric Marketing you agree to the terms and conditions below.

  1. E-marketing is a cheap way of reaching your marketplace. However, it is governed by new laws and we ask that you read and understand our terms and conditions before ordering any email lists from Electric Marketing.

  2. 1. These lists of email addresses are not opt-in lists. They have been compiled by calling the relevant company and requesting the email address, either from the contact, the contact’s PA or someone associated with the contact. This complies with the Data Protection Act. All email addresses are business addresses and therefore it is permitted to send unsolicited emails on business matters only. It is illegal to send emails to these addresses offering personal goods and services.
  3.
  4. 2. Many companies are refusing to give out email addresses and so we do not have nearly as many email addresses as postal addresses.

  5. 3. Electric Marketing does not offer refunds on email addresses that do not reach the intended recipient. While we make every effort to ensure that these email addresses are correct, we cannot accept responsibility for your email being rejected by the recipient’s server. Your email may be picked up as spam, the server may be programmed to reject emails from your server, the server may be down or any number of technical issues could have affected the arrival of your email. Very often you may never get a reason as to why your email was returned. All we can suggest is that you try to send it again.
You can expect 20% of emails to bounce for one reason or another!

  6. 4. All emails are names, there are no generic email addresses eg info@em.com or hr@em.com.

  7. 5.  All emails must include an option for the data subject to opt out of receiving further emails from your company i.e. a note on how to unsubscribe. All unsubscribe requests must be sent to your company, not Electric Marketing. If you receive an unsubscribe request, you must remove the data subject from your list and your company must not send them any further emails. This is a central part of the Electronic Communications Act.

  8. 6. Electric Marketing is not responsible for any consequences of your use of the data.

  9. 7. We supply email lists in MS Excel spreadsheets which can be imported into email programmes, either by using the import facility or by cutting and pasting the email addresses. We have been advised that while it is possible to cut and paste into MS Outlook, Outlook was not designed for bulk emailing.

  10. 8. Electric Marketing is a data supplier and we can offer no technical support to help you send your emails using our lists. If you would like to use the services of a professional email broadcasting company, we recommend Webexpectations who can be contacted on
